Frequently Asked Questions

(Don’t worry, you weren’t the only one questioning!)

What is therapy like with you?

Think of therapy as a judgment-free zone where you can bring your thoughts, feelings, and even the messy parts of life that feel hard to untangle. Our approach is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth—meaning we’ll do real, meaningful work while also making space for self-compassion (and maybe even a laugh or two). Every session is tailored to your needs, whether you want deep emotional processing or practical strategies to navigate life’s challenges.

Do you offer in-person or virtual sessions?

We offer both! If you love the cozy, in-person therapy vibe, our office is a welcoming space where you can settle in and feel comfortable. If virtual therapy fits better into your life (hello, sweatpants and couch sessions), We’ve got you covered with secure, online appointments. No matter the format, you’ll get the same supportive and personalized care with your therapist.

How do I book an appointment?

Booking a session is easy! You can email your therapist or use our online booking site. You can find the online booking site HERE! If you’re unsure whether therapy is right for you, we also offer a quick consultation to help you decide. No pressure—just a chat to see if we’re a good fit!

What is your cancellation policy?

Life happens, and we totally get that. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give at least 48 hours' notice. This helps us offer the spot to someone else who may need it. Late cancellations or missed appointments will have a fee, but if something unexpected comes up, let’s talk—we know things don’t always go as planned!

What should I expect in the first session?

The first session is all about getting to know you! We’ll chat about what’s bringing you to therapy, your goals, and any worries you might have about the process. It’s a no-pressure, no-rush conversation—just a chance for your therapist to understand your story and for you to see if I feel like the fit is right for you. And don’t worry, you don’t have to “prepare” anything—just come as you are.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes! Everything you share in therapy stays between us—confidentiality is a core part of the therapeutic relationship. The only exceptions (as required by law and CRPO regulations) are if there’s a serious risk of harm to you or someone else, or if there’s a legal obligation to disclose information (like in cases of child abuse). If you ever have questions about confidentiality, I’m happy to walk you through it so you feel comfortable and informed.
